ISSEY MIYAKE

In 1938, Miyake was born in Hiroshima, where he was exposed to radiation from the atomic bomb. He didn’t discuss this publicly for a long time to avoid being labeled simply as a “survivor”.

After graduating high school, he studied graphic design at Tama Art University.
